Sand in the City 2011

Friday was "build day" for the teams competing in the annual Sand in the City competition. This annual event is a fund raiser for the Nebraska Children's Home Society.  The finished sand sculptures are on display this weekend (June 4 and 5) at the corner of 10th and Capitol.

Power Drive Finals

Grocery store display of flowers. I'm not sure the Tiny World iPhone app is intended to be used this close, but it makes a nice effect.

Flowers and Tornado Watches!!

My neighbor's tree is in bloom and there was a tornado watch last night. Add the sound of lawn mowers and you have all the signs to confirm the arrival of Spring in Nebraska.
